It's 2024 and my seventeen fourth graders welcomed snow by making snowmen. These snowmen are inspired by the book "Snowmen at Night." In addition to making these, students also learned about how snowflakes are formed using the book, "Snowflake Bentley". If you haven't read either of these books, I hgihly recommend them! Here's an interesting video about the man behind those famous snoflake photographs. Happy 2024!

Last Day of School!

What an incredible school year 2020-2021 has been!  This class has been amazing.  From the first day of school attending as A/B cohorts to going remote at the flip of a switch, this class has shown what it truly means to be flexible and live in the moment.  Pandemic?  What pandemic? Here they all are on the last day of school.  These kids will be missed!

We're off to a GREAT start to the 2019-2020 school year!

Today, students got to choose BATT books!  Be sure to ask them about the books they chose.

Reminders:
There's no school on Monday, September 2, 2019 in observance of Labor Day
Next Wednesday, September 4th from 6:30 - 7:00 please join us for parent orientation.

Yesterday we read the book "Miss Rhumphius" by Barbara Cooney to get us thinking about how we can make the world a more beautiful place.  Attached is a picture of kids in the class painting lupine thus making our world a more beautiful place).  Next week, we'll set goals and intentions for our school year.

Thank you for sharing your children with me, they are so much fun!  It's going to be an enjoyable year!

Did you know the first teddy bear was invented in 1902 or 1903 - depending on who invented it and who you ask.  The important part is that the teddy was named after president Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt. How it's made Teddy
