Welcome to the world! Here's one of our very own brook trout from our aquatic nursery. We looked at this specimen under the Ken-A-Vision microscope today. This trout is in the alevin stage. An alevin carries around a sac full of nutrients. When all of the nutrients are absorbed, the trout will "swim up." Swimming up is when the trout are looking for REAL food!
